Klay is a pretty quiet guy. He is loyal and obedient but very headstrong and impulsive, so it tends to get him into fights very often. He doesn't usually talk about his feelings openly, so it fits very well with Hyou, but eventually he'll trust in his sensei. He doesn't believe in love, thinks it's a weakness and that if you can overcome the fear to be alone you'll get to be very powerful. However, he'll meet someone who will overturn his thinking and make Klay ask himself if everything he thought was just a lie.
Klay was born into a good position family in Junrinan, more quiet district of Rukongai. Klay didn't like the life that money from his family gave him, just wanted to be a normal child and one day become a great shinigami. But his family and his social position prevented him from fulfilling his dream.
The heritage of Ragon's family would be for him after the death of his parents and he should do honor to a name like his, but on the eve of his appointment as heir was overwhelmed by the burden that would have to bear. He ran away from home and went away from his family when he was a child.
He pretended to be as a poor lost child and whose soul had just arrived in Soul Society, change his last name to Kenkyona (means 'humble') and for some years he managed to live with a poor family who welcomed and educated him.
With the support of his new family, Klay got to join on the shinigami academy. He wasn't very skilled in Kido but he was an expert in the Hakuda.
Weeks before graduation, Klay got into a fight with some classmates who insulted him by his unusual hair color and his supposed poor origins. Hyou, who by chance was passing by (while she still was 3rd seat of the 7th division) was witnessed to see how Klay lost control and unleashed a wave of intense and terrifying reiatsu very unusual in a boy of his age. The boy went crazy and started attacking his classmates until Hyou managed to stop the fight. Hyou realized that Klay was so similar to her because she also had to endure taunts by her exotic hair color and promised to learn him to control the great power he had.
She managed to introduce him in the second division with her and trained him until he became a great fighter. In return, he promised her absolute loyalty.
In the future Klay will arrive to the 9th Division with Hyou and he'll accompany her when she goes to Hueco Mundo in search of his brother Grimmjow. He'll meet with an arrancar girl, Keera Terranova flyingdragon04.deviantart.com/… , who start to break all his schemes and he will be madly in love with her.
Will position himself as a lieutenant in the 9th division and bring of Hueco Mundo that girl who will become an obsession for him and that he would be willing to give his own life for her and fight against his own nature.

Klay es un chico bastante callado. Es leal y obediente aunque muy cabezota e impulsivo, por lo que tiende a meterse en peleas a menudo. No suele hablar de sus sentimientos abiertamente, por lo que encaja muy bien con Hyou, pero terminará por confiar en su sensei y en la gente. No cree en el amor, piensa que es una debilidad y que si consigues superar el miedo a quedarte solo podrás conseguir ser muy poderoso. No obstante, conocerá a alguien que dará un vuelco a su forma de pensar y le hará preguntarse a sí mismo si todo en lo que pensaba era solo una mentira.
Klay nació en el seno de una familia bien posicionada en Junrinan, el distrito más tranquilo del Rukongai, comparable en poder con un conde. A Klay no le gustaba la vida que el dinero de su familia le daba, solo quería ser un niño normal y algún día convertirse en un gran shinigami. Pero su familia y su posición social le impedían cumplir su sueño.
Klay se haría con la herencia de los Ragon tras la muerte de sus padres y debería hacer honor a un apellido como el suyo, pero en las vísperas a su nombramiento como heredero se agobió por la gran carga que tendría que soportar. Se escapó de casa y se marchó lejos de su familia cuando no era más que un niño.
Se hizo pasar por un niño perdido y pobre cuya alma acababa de llegar a la sociedad de almas, cambió su apellido por Kenkyona ('humilde') y durante algunos años consiguió vivir junto a una familia humilde que lo acogió y educó.
Gracias al apoyo de su nueva familia, Klay consiguió ingresar en la academia shinigami. No era muy habil en Kido pero era todo un experto en el Hakuda.
Semanas antes de la graduación, Klay se metió en una pelea con unos compañeros de clase quienes lo insultaban por su inusual color de cabello y sus supuestos orígenes pobres. Hyou, quien por casualidad pasaba por el lugar (siendo aún 3rd seat de la 7º division) fue testigo de cómo Klay perdía el control y desató una gran oleada de intenso y aterrador reiatsu muy poco común en un chico de su edad. El muchacho enloqueció y comenzó a atacar a sus compañeros hasta que Hyou consiguió detener la pelea. Hyou se dio cuenta de que comprendía a Klay debido a que ella también tuvo que aguantar mofas por su exotico color de cabello y prometió enseñarle a controlar aquel gran poder que tenía.
Consiguió introducirlo en la séptima división junto a ella y lo entrenó hasta que se convirtió en un gran luchador. A cambio, él le prometió lealtad absoluta.
En el futuro Klay se marchará a la 9th division junto a Hyou y la acompañará cuando ella vaya a Hueco Mundo en busca de su hermano Grimmjow. Allí conocerá a una niña arrancar, Keera Terranova flyingdragon04.deviantart.com/… , que romperá todos sus esquemas y de la cual quedará perdidamente enamorado.
Conseguirá posicionarse como teniente de la novena división y traer de Hueco Mundo a aquella chica que se convertirá en una obsesión para él y por la que estaría dispuesto a dar la vida y luchar contra su propia naturaleza.
