Kensei-sensei, meetings of the past

Hyou and Kensei met hundreds of years ago in one of the visits of the captain of the 9th Division in Rukongai. He found her when Hyou had to battle with a shinigami of the 11th division who was to rob the family with whom she lived by that time. Surprisingly, the captain could see in detail each of the movements of the girl, and after defeating the shinigami, Kensei offered Hyou to train her. She accepted.
He saw that had enormous potential and reiatsu, and knew she could go far.
Kensei Muguruma was the one he gave her zanpakutou to Hyou, Arashi, for her tenth birthday despite the fact that it was prohibited. Only shinigamis should possess a zanpakutou. But he believed the girl has more than enough skill to handle it.
It is for this reason that Arashi and Hyou are so united, have past the most of their lives together.
